Need help! DIY swimming pool

I'm looking at trying to build my own inground swimming pool with a liner. I have been looking online and have found some kits that beat any contractor on just selling me parts. Are pool installations as easy as the online videos show? Anyone have experience buying an online kit? Any feedback on poolwarehouse or nationalpoolwholesale? Also considering trying to build a waterfall from concrete and rebar, but not sure about the weight even with a footer?
