Are you running the filtration for 24 hours?

I used towels last night and no change. Thinking of trying Bioguard Sparkle Up today. What are your thoughts?

Nothing is going to change that quicky and bioguard dont have time accelerating formulas.
Sparkle up is just cellulose paper fibre. You wouldn't see much change overnight there either, all these things take time.

We are seeing lots of improvement. The pool filter has been on for the past 3+ days without being turned off (we usually have it on a timer for 8-10hrs a day). We are hoping that some clarifier will clear the rest up (fingers crossed party is tomorrow). I hope you are starting to get some results. We still have some cotton socks in the skimmer and the filter basket. Not sure if that is helping or not.

Jtex, your improvements show your system works better than Isisle's. I used white terry towelling on occasions so you can easily see the build-up on the cloth.

I went to get my water tested somewhere else and they also believe 3 doses of zero was way too much. 3 doses and phosphates are still over 3000 and my ph was a little high at 7.8 but pool is clearing up. I also believe the backwashing and adding new water helped (just my opinion).

Yes phosphate removal is not quick, as you can see it will need repeating but your top up water will be adding more phosphate so keeping hold of the water is important.

That is good news, I knew you would get there it just takes time, some pools longer than others and that goes back to my earlier comment.
