Can a liner pool be made bigger and deeper?

Postby Allison » Fri 31 Mar, 2006 09:44

My husband and I had a vinyl liner pool built a year ago and now I wish we had made it a little bigger and deeper (it is six feet deep). Does anyone know if this can be done? All in all we are very pleased with the pool and the cost.

Liner pool rebuild

You would need to have the pool rebuilt. The pool design and materials are based on the size you chose. To increase its size you would need to have the pool redesigned to take into account the added structural demands of a greater area and greater volume of water.

If there is any concrete, it will have to be removed and relaid. Usually rebuilds cost more than a new pool - first you pay to have the old one removed and then for the new one.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings :(
